Product Description
The Aligned Healing Retreat guides participants on a journey to
deep reconnection through six guiding steps:
Assessment • Recognition • Discipline • Surrender • Dynamic Harmony • Trust
This experience is centered on three essential elements—
Mind, Body, and Spirit.
Mind
Refresh your mind in the clear mountain air of Karuizawa. Through traditional Japanese arts, you will learn to breathe deeply, focus and cultivate presence.
Body
Nourish your body with Karuizawa’s pure mountain water, mineral-rich hot springs, and seasonal cuisine prepared with fresh, locally grown food.
Spirit
Reconnect with your spirit through meaningful traditional practices that reveal stillness through action and bring harmony within.
Aligned Activities
-Stillness with Action-

Japanese Archery
The Way of the Bow (Kyudo)
Experience the depth of Japanese archery under the guidance of master practitioners who have devoted decades to their art. More than a physical discipline, Kyudo is a meditation in motion – stillness meets action. Mind, body, and spirit align in a single breath.

Tea Ceremony
The Way of the Tea (Sado)
Experience the essence of Japanese “Omotenashi” through a master tea practitioner. With reverence for every breath, every movement, and every object, the tea ceremony becomes a sacred ritual of presence – gently centering the mind and nourishing the soul.
Guided Forest Bath
The way of the harmony with nature
Rooted in volcanic earth and embraced by lush forest, you feel your breath deepen, your shoulders soften, and your mind and body comeback into harmony.

Meditation at a Buddhist Temple
The way of the Zazen
Experience stillness through breath inside an ancient Buddhist temple. With each mindful inhale and exhale, your mind quiets and your soul returns to center. Through sutra calligraphy, slow and unfamiliar hand movements become meditation – connecting breath, body, and spirit in focused calm.
Day 1 — Arrival & Opening
Guests gather in Karuizawa and travel together into the quiet mountain landscape of Miyota. After settling into the hotel, we begin our journey with a welcome gathering and introduction to the Aligned healing retreat.
Day 2 — Discipline & Tradition
The morning begins with gentle movement and breath to awaken the body. We then travel to the historic town of Komoro for immersive cultural experiences, including:
• Kyudo (Japanese Archery) — learning the discipline of the bow
• Sado (Tea Ceremony) — experiencing the quiet art of tea
The day concludes with reflection and dinner together.
Day 3 — Stillness & Insight
After a morning practice and forest walk, we visit Shogenin Temple for a private Zen experience. Participants will practice Zazen meditation and may also experience Shakyo (sutra copying) — a traditional contemplative practice.
The afternoon offers time for rest and reflection before gathering again for a deeper Aligned Healing workshop.
Day 4 — Nature & Integration
We explore the mountain landscapes surrounding Karuizawa through
a guided hike and visit the beautiful Shiraito Falls (top picture)
This day allows space to integrate the experiences of the retreat while continuing our practices together.
A celebratory dinner marks our final evening at the hotel.
Day 5 — Reflection & Departure
The retreat concludes with a final morning practice and closing reflection. Guests depart feeling renewed, centered, and deeply aligned
